San Diego, CA, US

I am co-leading a research group studying the plasma physics at the outer boundary of magnetic confinement nuclear fusion devices. Specifically, the region of the plasma that touches the armor walls on the inside of the reactor. We are responsible for the Langmuir probes in the armor walls at the National Fusion Facility in San Diego. My interests are in divertor detachment, ExB drifts, plasma heat transfer, and plasma turbulence.
