About Michael R. Martin
Michael Martin has a well-rounded background with nearly 40 years of experience in environmental management through positions in public service, not-for-profit and consulting. He has extensive experience in lake & river watershed monitoring and management, watershed and water quality response modeling, stormwater modeling and development, drinking water source water development, PFAS, water withdrawal pumping tests, environmental education, environmental permitting, aquatic invasive species management, HABs identification and management plans, wetland delineation, wetland restoration, and geographic information systems. He has collected, analyzed, and interpreted water quality data and developed/implemented long term lake and watershed management programs on hundreds of lakes, ponds and rivers throughout New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, and Indiana. He has been involved in monitoring and feasibility studies on numerous waterbodies and watersheds to address issues such as aquatic invasive species, nutrient enrichment, harmful algal blooms (HABs), internal phosphorus loading, urban & agricultural NPS pollution; and developed watershed management plans that dealt with both in-lake and watershed sources of nutrients.
