About Cecilia Wang

Hello! My name is Cecilia, and I am a hard-working and motivated full-time student at North Carolina State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in People Management (Human Resources). With my experience in the service industry, I have become well-versed in interpersonal communication, unique problem-solving, and leadership skills, and am proficient in adapting to new environments and working in teams. With a passion for human resources, I plan to expand my knowledge in the field of HRM and gain hands-on experience through internships and other learning opportunities.I’ve had the opportunity to gain valuable HR experience by serving on the Rush Committee for NC State’s professional co-ed business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. In this role, I am immediately involved in AKPsi’s core HR processes, such as attracting, recruiting, interviewing, and evaluating potential new members.

   Recruit, interview, and assess prospective members of the fraternity to evaluate organizational fit, growth potential, and alignment with Alpha Kappa Psi’s core values, contributing to final decisions on potential new members - Facilitate strategic and fair selection processes by collecting and analyzing feedback from over 140 active members to create and organize candidate summaries and presentations- Assist in the preparation, set-up, and execution of every recruiting event, ensuring organized and seamless functions
