Assist with the completion of general mechanical engineering activities with the objective of meeting the defined contractual scope to the relevant codes, standards, and company procedures.• Assist in the creation of calculations such as performing maximum allowable work pressure (MAWP) calculation, preparation of design pressure re-rate packages, preparation/review of Fitness-for-Service packages, updating Overpressure Protection by System Design (OPPSD) reports, and in-service pipeline hot-tap assembly internal/external line pressure calculations. As well assisted in the review and analysis of various Vendor Heat Exchanger calculations.• Assist in the review and analysis of multiple Vendor Prints for heat exchangers.• Assist in the preparation of design alteration and registration packages for submission to the Alberta Safety Authority (ABSA). Including knowledge of the ABSA design registrationprocess with document such as AB-230, and AB-31, over pressure protection AB-525, andthe general requirements of the Pressure Equipment Safety Regulation (PESR)• Assist in the creation and/or updating of engineering/project documents such as Requestsfor Information (RFI), Technical Specification Deviations (TDN), Material Requisitions (MR’s), Technical Bid Evaluations (EWPs), Engineering Work Packages (EWP), Technical Deviation Notice (TDN), and a variety of other technical documentations.• Multi-discipline engineering team interaction, with assistance and coordination with mechanical drafting and organizing of technical drawings from inception to construction.• Learning and using multiple engineering and design software for oil and gas industry (Compress, CEASER II, PRG, Internal design software and templates)
