Provides specialized expertise for Trade Compliance export and import activities through knowledge of all applicable export/import regulations.• May act as a lead in export/import activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.• Assists with internal or external audits and assessments as directed by TCD functional management.• Responsible for creating reports and maintaining records providing updates to management regarding current/ pending compliance regulations, initiatives, or legislation to ensure matters are kept up to date as required.• Determining Export Control Classifications (HTS, ECCN, Export licenses, Encryption, Licensing Jurisdiction determination) of Renesas products• Preparing and submitting export and import licenses for EAR and ITAR controlled products• Preparing licensing/agreement internal control plans and conducting proviso reviews.• Interpreting technical information and processes, understanding the jurisdictional application of governmental regulations and working collaboratively with Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics and Sales teams to deliver creative and customer focused solutions.• Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations in the US (Classification, Valuation, Country of Origin, ADD/CVD)• Responsible for all inquiries from US Customs and Border Protection CBP and other governmental regulatory agencies assigned the task of managing compliance risks. • Lead and support a team of compliance specialists, providing guidance, training, and direction to ensure accurate compliance. • Build and maintain partnerships with trade and customs compliance service providers, act as key contact for import/export transactions, and document customs management processes, including SOPs, KPIs, and broker scorecard performance reviews.
