I am a builder, maker, and creator - these are not just aspects of my work, they are integral to who I am as a designer. Hands-on exploration and experimentation are essential elements of my design process. I believe that getting my hands dirty and working with various materials is the best way to learn and grow. I infuse playfulness into my work and approach each project with an open and curious mindset, always looking to break down traditional design conventions and push the boundaries of what is possible. Play is an essential part of my creative process.The process of creation is a lifelong learning experience, and I have a deep interest in vernacular techniques. Passing down knowledge through generations creates a sense of continuity and connection between the past, present, and future. By building upon previous achievements and experiences, we can create something new and meaningful for future generations. Incorporating vernacular techniques and traditions into my design practice can serve as a bridge between the past and the future, fostering a sense of community, identity, and cultural continuity.My passion for design is fueled by a deep empathy for people and a desire to connect with them through my work. I honor indigenous knowledge and am particularly inspired by the rich craft-making traditions of Mexican communities. These traditional techniques are invaluable resources that should be celebrated.
