About Cecile Terrenoire

Provides scientific oversight and daily management of scientists in charge of developing cGMP compliant protocols for the production of clinical grade cells (stem cells and neuronal cells derived from stem cells) in order to support NYSCF\'s Cell Therapy program.Works closely with the VP of Cell Therapy team and with Quality Assurance team to draft and review GMP documents (Batch Records, SOPs.) and IND.Designs and develops QC assays for R&D, for process development product, for clinical intermediary product and for clinical final product. Responsible for setting up Quality Event investigations. Reviews QC data and creates reports. Trains and mentors junior staff.Responsible for scientific oversight, planning and execution of the process development part of contracts that NYSCF Cell Therapy team has with pharmaceutical companies. In charge of putting together and presenting scientific reports to external collaborators.Areas of technical expertise- blood processing and reprogramming into stem cells using viral vector- stem cell culture and differentiation into various cell types- fluorescent based biochemical assays for cytotoxicity studies- FLow cytometry- ELISA assay- RT-qPCR- Phagocytosis assay- Confocal imaging- in vitro cellular models of human diseases- in vitro drug screening (on various cell types)- production of hESCs/hIPSCs using NYSCF\'s Automated High Throughput plaftorm (Paull et al. Nature Methods 2015)- automated liquid handling (Bravo, Hamilton)- in vitro electrophysiology (manual and automated patch clamp technique)- live measurements of intracellular calcium dynamics- live measurements of cardiomyocytes contraction- in vitro pharmacology: drug screening on ion channels, action potentials and on intracellular calcium dynamics- cell culture: aseptic culture of stem cells, neurons, cardiac cells derived from human stem cells, immortalized cells (CHO, HEK293, COS7) and primary human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells- isolation of single cardiac myocytes using Langendorff technique- enzymatic dissociation of cardiac cells derived from human stem cells - expression of recombinant proteins in immortalized and primary cells- biochemistry: Western blot, Immunoprecipitations- peer-reviewer for scientific journals- experienced biology teacher (high school level) and mentor (junior staff in the laboratory)
