ABOUT CHARLES SNYDER

Learn, listen, lead is my approach to leadership. I believe in strong customer service supported by results focused, entrepreneurial solutions. I manage with a servant leadership philosophy underpinning a situational leadership method. Coaching is my preferred style although I am confident managing with any appropriate style. I identify strongly with the descriptor,\"expert generalist,\" as being someone who has a lifelong curiosity to collect expertise in many different disciplines, industries, skills and topics. This allows me to draw on a diverse knowledge base to recognize patterns, connect dots, and improvise on situations. I came to advancement information in the mid 1990\'s, a profession that feeds my need for continual learning. In 2009 I obtained a MA in strategic communication and leadership. The theory and research behind this degree helped put my experience into context and enabled me to see where I could best make a difference. I continue to seek out opportunities to diversify my experiences and education by volunteering with non-profit boards, directly engaging donors and prospects, receiving sales training with Dale Carnegie of South Florida and individual management training with a career coach.I have taught public speaking at the university level, have written for prospect research publications and fundraising industry websites, and spoken at several CARA, AFP and APRA conferences for groups numbering from 20 to over 200.I am a relationship builder and problem solver with a record of both initiating and implementing solutions.
