As Executive Director of Pride at Work Canada, I lead a national movement to build a more equitable labour market by challenging systemic exclusion and helping employers create spaces where our people can thrive.I provide strategic leadership, manage a dynamic team of emerging leaders, and serve as the organization’s lead ambassador, working across sectors and jurisdictions to influence policies, shift organizational culture, and mobilize support for queer and trans inclusion in the workplace. My role is equal parts strategist, connector, and advocate.Key contributions include- Leading the creation and implementation of the organization\'s strategic plans and evolving them to respond to political, economic, and social shifts- Building and nurturing a national membership network of hundreds of employers committed to workplace inclusion, and ensuring each member receives tailored, impactful support- Driving national visibility and thought leadership, representing the organization in media, government, and stakeholder engagements- Overseeing operational performance, team development, and financial sustainability while fostering a culture of care, collaboration, and purpose- Advocating directly with government stakeholders at all levels and across party lines to influence inclusive public policy- Translating bold vision into measurable results, helping employers go beyond symbolic gestures to drive real change for employees and communities. I’m proud to lead an organization that doesn\'t just ask if progress is possible, but proves that it is. We do things others think are impossible, simply because we believe they might be. That’s the heart of our work and why I’m still here.
