About Courtney Bragg
What healthcare and our safety net offers and what people actually use are worlds apart. At Fabric Health, our goal is simple: to bridge that gap and make healthcare accessible. We help busy families where they already are—at laundromats. 32 million Americans visit laundromats every week. So do we.My passion for equity began in education, where I learned more than I ever expected. I had never met such driven, hard-working kids. They changed my life.As a leader of a KIPP high school in Southeast DC, my day job was to get our students into college, but during lunch or football practice, when my kids got hurt, I rode in the ambulance with them.I became obsessed with Medicaid, leading me to join an early-stage healthcare startup after business school, where I built the first Medicaid market.I noticed neighbourhood laundromats were overlooked community spaces, where busy moms could be reached during their weekly two-hour visits. These families have a lot of questions but not a lot of help. These families, particularly these moms are so busy and seemingly so hard to find, but there they were – waiting, every week – so I co-founded Fabric Health. My experience as an educator played a vital role in providing behavioural insights and understanding the power of deep engagement, active listening, and conversation facilitation. That’s exactly what we aim to do with Fabric Health—make healthcare and public benefits accessible, one wash cycle at a time.If you\'re interested in learning more or partnering, get in touch: c•••••••@fabrichealth.org
