Created and launched a nonprofit investigative journalism outlet serving Connecticut. Entirely committed to quality journalism with a goal to inform and educate. Hired, trained, and now lead a unique and ideologically diverse team of investigative reporters and support staff. I enjoy helping people be in the right place at the right time to be their best selves. That requires career planning, investment in people, and genuine care for both the product and the person. Create structures for and oversee daily operations and project calendar. Ultimately responsible for all content and operations of the program. Genuine human relationships in nonprofit fundraising. Finding depth in relationships means investing time in doing the right things. Manage CRM, build partnerships, work with individuals, foundations, and corporations to support our mission. Responsible for budget management, brand conformity across products, data management, and editorial oversight. Develop and execute external media relations strategy and messaging. Partnerships with media outlets, media personalities, and tech/ operations improvements. I enjoy building on traditional boundaries into new spaces, balancing that against the realities of running a successful organization.
