Cloud, Network & Security contractor delivering across enterprise and service provider environments — on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud. Equally comfortable on the whiteboard and in the CLI: I architect the target state, then build it. Grounded in traditional networking across data centres, carrier-neutral facilities, and large-scale internet edge — TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPsec, DNS, NAT — and apply that foundation to cloud-first architectures where the fundamentals still decide whether a design holds up in production. CCIE-certified at Routing and Switching, with AWS and Azure Network and Security speciality certifications backing the cloud side. I work end-to-end: shaping strategy and producing architectural artefacts, then executing through build standards, deployment patterns, automation templates, and Infrastructure as Code. Engagements typically span early scoping and solution architecture through implementation, migration, optimisation, and production readiness — staying on the ground until it\'s running cleanly. Delivery spans Networking Security, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, and AI Security solutions, with secure connectivity built on Zero Trust (ZTNA), SASE, SD-WAN, NAC, and segmentation, and application security covering WAF, DDoS protection, API protection, bot mitigation, and rate limiting. I lead large-scale transformation programmes — cloud migration, data centre modernisation, and secure access transformation — bridging legacy estates with cloud-first and zero trust architectures. Security tooling and SIEM integration runs alongside this, partnering with SOC teams on monitoring, detection, and response, while automation and DevSecOps practices using IaC, CI/CD, and policy-driven security keep delivery scalable, repeatable, and production-ready. Currently exploring how AI augments security architecture and operations — sharper threat detection, faster response, and more proactive risk mitigation.
