About Training Cell
Established in 2012, Centre for Budget Studies (CBS), CUSAT, is dedicated to the comprehensive analysis of budgetary processes, policies, and their impact on governance structures. Our mission is to bridge the gap in academic courses and training programs related to budgets and fiscal management in India.Our flagship program, the Master of Econometrics and Financial Technology (M.Sc.), is a four-semester course designed to provide rigorous training in economics, quantitative techniques, and analytical methods. This program offers an in-depth understanding of economics and finance, with a strong emphasis on the critical role of econometrics and financial technology in contemporary financial analysis.What sets our program apart is the unique blend of economics, finance, and econometric tools we offer, equipping students with state-of-the-art knowledge and essential problem-solving skills demanded in today\'s job market. Our curriculum includes three practical lab training courses spread over the 2nd to 4th semesters, focusing on data processing, estimation, and analysis.
