ABOUT COLIN BRUMELLE

I can write – and help others write – quality code, build a team and lead it to victory, develop compelling products, scale systems and organizations, ask for forgiveness instead of permission, jump on hand grenades, fly through the air on a worked at Twitter for the last 4 years (July 2010 - Sept 2014), first as an Engineer writing Ruby and JS code, and then as an Engineering Manager leading teams of 20+ engineers. As an engineer at Twitter, I was a founding member of the Revenue team, writing the software that allowed PromotedTweets, PromotedTrends and PromotedAccounts to grow from $0 to over a billion dollars in revenue per year. As an Engineering Manager at Twitter, I built and led teams to launch mobile and desktop products for the DR market, including the Leadgen and Website card, and also Twitter\'s app install business.During my last year, I started Twitter\'s Commerce team. After building the team up, we successfully launched our \"BuyNow\" product on Android, iOS and web. I was instrumental in Twitters successful acquisition of CardSpring, which was quickly turned into Twitter\'s offers Twitter, I worked on a series of small startups. Some ended well; others didn\'t. The most recent was Birdherd, a twitter application that made it easy for a group or team of people to manage a single Twitter account. BirdHerd was shut down when I moved over to Twitter in 2010.In the past, I\'ve also worked as a professional musician for over 10 years managing and playing guitar with my band Greenroom (https://soundcloud.com/cbrumelle/sets/greenroom-connect), a 6-piece jazz/funk ensemble. What I\'m looking new projects where I can make a big impact building and scaling both software and organizations* angel investment opportunities * select consulting gigsPlease send me a note if you\'d like to chat!
