Brought in to support stabilisation and delivery governance within a critical carve-out programme following the sale of a French workwear division to HIG. The environment relied heavily on product and service owners to run initiatives, with limited delivery discipline and inconsistent governance.My focus has been on introducing structure without disruption. I’ve helped establish clearer project and programme tracking, consolidated work into a coherent delivery plan, and contributed to capacity and prioritisation discussions. I’ve also implemented consistent status reporting, RAID management, and clear TSA exit tracking, alongside providing advisory input into Workday and stage-gate implementations.The outcome has been a calmer delivery environment, improved transparency, and risks and issues being surfaced earlier and more constructively in a complex carve-out setting.

I work in change environments where control has quietly eroded.This is usually where governance is weak or inconsistent, well-meaning SMEs or product owners run projects without delivery discipline, everything is reported as green, and deadlines continue to slip. Dashboards exist, but they don’t drive decisions. Teams are busy, frustrated, and buried in low-value work.When I come in, I focus on first principles. I map how change actually operates, strip back unnecessary processes and meetings, simplify artefacts, and rebuild data capture so reporting becomes credible and usable. I introduce pragmatic, MVP dashboards that surface issues early and help leaders act, rather than reassure.A key differentiator in my approach is that I design change systems with implementation in mind. I don’t just define processes or reporting models. I understand the technical and data implications well enough to ensure they can actually be built, sustained, and used, whether I am hands-on or working through others.I also bring experience across change from multiple vantage points, including engineering, project management, programme leadership, portfolio management, and central PMO. That perspective allows me to spot risks early, design governance that delivery teams can live with, and avoid solutions that look sensible in isolation but fail in practice.The outcome is simpler, more consistent processes, less waste, happier, more productive teams, and leadership that finally has a trusted view of what is really happening. Issues are surfaced, not buried.I’m not interested in PMO churn or policing project managers.
