The Fleet manager is required to plan, organize and direct functions and activities related to the procurement, servicing, operation, maintenance and repair of company vehicles; establish and maintain priorities and time lines; assure vehicle-related functions and activities comply with established laws, codes, rules, regulations, company policies and procedures. Prepare vehicle specifications according to departmental needs; research and evaluate new vehicles; coordinate the purchasing and assure optimal pricing and quality of vehicles for the brewery; participate in related negotiation and quotation activities; oversee the disposal of used vehicles.The Fleet manager must also coordinate, direct and track all fleet and risk management related trainings for all new drivers and for ongoing compliance and policy related refreshers and updates; participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and written safety programs to enhance financial effectiveness and operational efficiency of assigned functions.
