ABOUT CLAIRE BETIS

A fully bilingual (EN–FR) storyteller and editorial strategist, I help tech leaders, research institutions, and international organisations shape narratives that leave a mark. My craft: transforming complex material into stories that resonate intellectually, emotionally, and culturally. My dual path as a published author (under the name Julie Frontenac) and an international tech communications strategist (SAP, Africa Code Week, Inria) has allowed me to build more than a few bridges: between organisations and their stakeholders, between research and the wider public - and always, at the end of the day, between heroes and their readers.A leader’s vision, an organisation’s journey, a researcher’s tenacity, education giving wings to a child - sometimes to an entire continent: this is the living substance I love chiselling into great stories.Past projects include international education programmes (World Robot Olympiad, WEP, Africa Code Week), science storytelling for Inria, global tech case studies for Oracle Marketing Cloud, commissioned poetry, and executive ghostwriting for VLC Media Player inventor in L’Usine Digitale-AI moves faster. My pen goes further.I work with or without algorithms, depending on the objectives, the stakes, and the level of human embodiment each project requires. While AI can accelerate, structure, and multiply possibilities, it does not breathe life into language. It does not chisel words. It does not tremble in Flaubert’s fabled gueuloir in my place.I use AI as a cerebral particle accelerator when relevant: to open paths, shift perspectives, explore more broadly, and refine narrative architectures. My work as an author may begin in this demanding dialogue - but it always continues in the irreducible time of creative intention, emotional weaving, and the musicality of language. When a project calls for it - sensitive speeches, research narratives, human portraits, poetry, or texts with high symbolic weight - I also choose the 100% human route, where narrative responsibility, tonal precision, and the soul of the story take precedence.I look forward to writing the story in which you will be the heroes.
