Responsibilities- Identify key silhouettes, fabrics and trims that are relevant to the tentree customer- Design a full collection and partnering across all areas of Product to see it through to creation- Oversee product design for all categories within men’s apparel, ensuring that this ladders up cohesively into full apparel & accessories assortment focusing on design, quality and fit execution- Partner with Design Team to develop a design direction for each season that supports both the creative direction and product strategy as indicated by the Director of Merchandising & Design- Forecast and research industry relevant opportunities and trends and prepare presentations on a seasonal basis for trims, fabrics, and new product designs- Research new materials that align with tentree’s commitment to pursue environmentally progressive fabrics and determine how they would fit into the line plan- Be a driving force for environmentally progressive innovations, techniques and applications- Create detailed spec sheets, drawings and construction pages with technical details for all relevant styles and successfully pass off to Technical Development Team to begin proto sampling- See product design through final stages with Technical Development Team including participation in fittings to ensure product meets designs intent- Partner with Merchandising Department in the colouring of the line as well as pattern/graphic selection & allocation- Present design intent and overarching seasonal themes at Sales Meetings- Prepare key takeaways to action post Sales Summit Meetings to ensure the line is curated and supports Wholesale & Catalogue needs- Review Merchandising Sales Recap on a quarterly basis to ensure all relevant key takeaways can be implemented on for future season development- Continually assess and evolve current in-line product assortment and find areas to improve existing styles and product mix
