As a Home Health Aide working with individuals who have suffered a traumatic brain injury, my role involves providing personalized care to help with daily activities, support rehabilitation, and ensure safety. I assist with personal care, like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as TBI can affect motor skills and coordination. I also help with mobility, transferring from bed to a wheelchair, and using mobility aids. Since TBI patients may have memory difficulties, I provide reminders for medications, appointments, and daily routines. Additionally, I monitor changes in behavior or mood, offering emotional support and keeping a calm environment. I help encourage participation in social activities to reduce isolation, and ensure the home is safe by removing hazards. I also assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation. Throughout my work, I provide crucial support to family members, helping them understand the needs of their loved ones and offering guidance on caregiving techniques. My goal is to help my clients regain as much independence as possible while ensuring their emotional and physical well-being
