About Claire Wellbeloved

I am a health professional working as a business development lead in the office of Discovery & Innovations under Health IT at the University of Virginia Health System. Previously I worked at the University of Virginia School of Medicine as a research specialist in the Department of Public Health Sciences. In June 2015 I received a M.P.H. from The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. In May 2014 I graduated from Connecticut College with a major in anthropology, a minor in Spanish, and certification through the Toor Cummings Center for International Studies and the Liberal Arts program. Outside of my health career, I am the Co-Founder and Vice President of Blue Trunk Foundation, a nonprofit focused on accessible and inclusive travel. My travel and tourism experience extends to my undergraduate research, focused on the anthropology of ecotourism, as well as my extensive personal travel including numerous study abroad experiences, living and working overseas, and visiting all seven continents.
