As a student intern at the Virginia Transportation Research Council (VTRC), I run ultrasonic testing, resistivity testing, and further research, data analysis, and literature review for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). This past summer, Constructed proprietary search interface for VDOT, edited and processed data for 3 upcoming research papers. I performed literature review and data analysis on 300+ bridge structures around Virginia and assisted configuring a laser extensometer and operating an Instron universal testing machine to measure tensile properties of rebar samples.
