   Oversees a $4B federal program that funds broadband connectivity to schools and libraries across the nation. Manages a 50-person team of direct reports as well as 150 contractors engaged in the review and approval of over applications for funding annually for broadband services received by schools and libraries. Directs team members that include the Senior Director of PMO, Senior Director of Operations, Senior Manager of Outreach and Communication, and Director of Product Management and Business Intelligence. Leads presentations to groups and webinars providing guidance on the application process, rule compliance, and program details for schools, libraries, service providers and other stakeholders. Monitors vendor performance, ensuring compliance with KPIs and SLA requirements. Shepherded the reissue of one of the organization’s largest contracts to secure improved pricing for agreements valued in the millions of dollars. Collaborates with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on E-rate program issues, operations, and the administrative impact of proposed policy changes. Within 30 days of the FY 2018 application close, approved over $503M on over applications. Improved the review process to complete application reviews in 7 months, the best performance since 2014. ABOUT THE UNIVERSAL SERVICE ADMINISTRATIVE COMPANY Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) is a non-profit organization that assists in increasing telecommunications services domestically through the Universal Service Fund (USF). The organization provides discounted telecommunication services to rural areas, low-income consumers, rural health care providers, public and private schools, and public libraries.
