I am a solicitor with a long-standing interest in representing vulnerable adults and their families. Court of Protection I lead our Court of Protection department and represent both those subject to proceedings, known as \"P\"​ and also their families and carers. My work ranges from decisions dealing with financial affairs to those concerning health and welfare issues. I also advise clients in cases concerning urgent medical treatment and unlawful detention. Notable cases: • I represented the mother in the landmark case of Somerset County Council v MK. I offer a free consultation to anyone who has a query concerning Court of Protection and Mental Capacity Act matters. Mental Health Law I also represent patients detained under both civil sections and those detained under Part of the Mental Health Act. I am a member of the Law Society Mental Health Tribunal Panel, members of which must have shown that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of mental health law.
