ABOUT CATHY COBEY

As a technology risk partner in EY, I advise my clients on the risk and control implications of their transformation journey, including both legacy and emerging technologies. My particular interest is the ethical and control implications of intelligent automation design - robotic process automation, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). As EY\'s Global Responsible AI Leader for Assurance I am in a unique position to leverage my background in EY\'s Audit, Technology Risk and Climate Change & Sustainability practices to consider the full spectrum of technological and societal implications in intelligent automation development. Part of my contribution to making a better working world is to work with thought leaders across industry, academia and government to develop leading practices to build and operate AI in a trusted fashion. AI’s transformative potential is high, but its risks are significant, complex and fast-evolving. We need leading-edge AI governance and control practices that can keep-up with the AI of today and tomorrow. In support of that goal, I serve on a number of technical advisory committees to develop industry and regulatory standards for emerging technology.
