About Cathy Yanni

As a Special Master and Mediator for more than two decades, Cathy Yanni is dedicated to understanding the individuals included in class actions and mass torts. She offers undivided attention to solving the most complex problems that arise with patience and precision. Cathy has worked tirelessly to find resolution for thousands of people by designing, managing, and adjudicating hundreds of settlements and allocations. Her deep knowledge of class action and mass tort law, personal touch, focus on listening, and ongoing communication with both sides of a case are all keys to her high settlement rate. She currently serves as Trustee for the $13.5 billion Fire Victim Trust in California and remains committed to completing that mandate as quickly as possible. On the fifth anniversary of the 2018 Camp Fire, Cathy received a certificate of gratitude from the Camp Fire Collaborative, a nonprofit organization that works to address the unmet needs of survivors.

Transvaginal Mesh (TVM) Cases - Appointed Special Master by Hon. Joseph Goodwin, Southern District of WV to administer and implement settlements in the Boston Scientific, Covidien, and BARD MDLs. Appointed to administer and implement by Hon. David A. Katz the $2.45 billion settlement in the In re: DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc, ASR™ Hip Implant Products. Gadolinium Contrast Dyes Product Liability Litigation - Appointed Special Master by Hon. Dan Polster, Northern District of OH to settle MDL and state court cases involving allegations of catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death. Silicone Gel Breast Implant Litigation - Appointed by Hon. Denise Hood, U.S. District Court Eastern District MI Federal Mediator to resolve Dow Corning Settlement Fund cases.Zyprexa I, II - Appointed Federal Special Master by Hon.
