About Cathy Inglese
I’m a firm believer that we all have something to contribute as individuals and as valued team members through our core strengths, abilities and passionate pursuits. This enables us to enjoy what we do and excel in the areas that matter most to us. In doing this, we become better versions of ourselves. And, through observation, learn and grow to reach one’s own greatest potential. I came to understand this mindset as a former student athlete. The impact sports had on my life, both on and off the playing field, was immeasurable and lasting. Sport was the vehicle to catapult my greatest potential and in turn, assist others in discovering and developing their own unique talents.As an athletic coach, consultant and speaker with over 20 years of experience mentoring students (10 of which turned professional and 1 Olympian) and producing winning strategies both on and off the court ranging from numerous Hall of Fame Inductions, Coach of the Year Awards and improved student leadership and performance, I have demonstrated my success in youth sports education. Facilitating a student-led process from “where they are” to “where they want to be” has been exceptionally rewarding both personally and professionally. Sport has the ability to teach a lot of life skills to assist athletes in becoming more self-aware, confident, healthy and resilient leaders in life. It also provides the educator an opportunity to understand the demands a student may be experiencing to create winning strategies to meet the needs of the student and the team as a whole.
