ABOUT CATHY HONORE D. D. S.

I am truly passionate about the practice and art of Dentistry. It is one of the few areas of medicine that the clinician actually treats the patient from the onset of symptoms to the completion of treatment plan.That said, the practice of Dentistry has allowed me to listen to my patients and learn about every one on a level rarely experienced by other clinicians. I am a recipient of a Master of Public Health, providing the catalyst for working for equity and social justice within the health care system.I am also committed to educating undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of anatomy and physiology, biology, and public health, with a concentration in community based participatory research and practice.In 2023, I was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, joining an exclusive network of extraordinary clinicians, scholars, and servant leaders who are dedicated to the dental profession.As the owner of Honore’ Dental Center LLC, I have created and sustained a community- based practice of general and restorative dentistry. My current role has been extended to performing examinations on our nation’s veterans and reservists through Leidos QTC Health Services, a national provider of independent medical examinations and associated services. To date, Honore’ Dental Center is the only dental office in the state of Louisiana to perform these services.My experience and expertise in language arts and communication has provided a pathway to render medical opinions for MES Peer Review Services, a URAC accredited Independent Review Organization. The reviews are evaluations prepared by credentialed, independent physicians to establish an informed expert opinion about the appropriateness of care, medical necessity, experimental/investigational, and related issues. I am honored to render opinions for Louisiana, Texas, California, and New York cases. In April, 2024, I was appointed as Assistant Professor of Comprehensive Dentistry at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, while maintaining my private practice.On October 11, 2025, I was inducted as a Fellow into the International College of Dentists, an invitation only honor society that grants recognition of an individual dentist’s outstanding professional achievement, service, and dedication to the progress of dentistry.
