ABOUT CATH TURNER
I have been in front of and behind a camera in the media industry for 20 years, reporting from the Americas, the United Kingdom, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.I am the Deputy Editor, West Coast for Reuters, based in Los Angeles. Previously, I was a Foreign Correspondent in London, New York, Washington, D.C. and a reporter/producer in Kuala Lumpur and Sydney. I am comfortable in a breaking news, high-pressure live television environment, co-ordinating crews and logistics during major events. My former roles also required regular video editing and technical expertise. I also have extensive experience behind the camera. I’ve been a Director’s Assistant, field producer, live panel producer, guest booker, and a line-up producer in the control room for news bulletins and breakfast television.
