About Cathleen Tyson-Day

Cathleen Tyson-Day is very involved in the Amarillo Community. She has lived in Amarillo and Lubbock, Texas; Glendale and Chandler, Arizona. She is employed at PPS/VariVerge in Amarillo as Graphic Design Lead. Her experience expands in graphic arts, marketing, web development, campaign development, event promotions and social media marketing. PPS customers cover a variety of businesses and organizations, from banks to non-profits. Cathleen leads her clients through the design and print process. Her expertise in setting up campaigns for non-profits and brand marketing has come from taking care of clients for years. The Upbeat Reporter magazine with Mary Kay Kurts has kept Cathleen busy the last two years. Beginning with the 2022 Spring Issue, she has designed the magazine and written articles until present. She also designs and maintains the magazine’s website and social media. In March 2023, Upbeat and Beyond was relaunched presenting a 30 minute show that was aired on NewsChannel10too. Cathleen was one of three hosts,(Dean Yates and Mary Kay Kurts) that interviewed interesting community icons and non-profit leaders from Amarillo. Five shows were produced and aired. Cathleen designed the artwork for each episode, and the promotional posts online. Other duties: posting videos to YouTube and Facebook, writing copy for descriptions and posts, and shooting short videos for posting Memorable awards: Heart of Philanthropy Award 2021, AAF Tenth District Member of the Year 2017, Amarillo Advertising Federation Outstanding Member Award 20••••16, Bill and Louise Dee Volunteer Award - Amarillo Opera Several Addy awards through the years.    Cathleen has been a marketing consultant and designer for LAC with Lisa Blake since 2016. Creating the first and the following annual Leading with IMPACT Summit fundraising events. Cathleen manages the website and social media for the summit; as well as creating interest and attracting members to attend the LAC classes for both adults and teens.
