ABOUT CATHIE BRAYLEY

I provide advice on taxation issues related Representation and Warranty insurance and tax insurance. For decades I provided advice on tax planning matters including resolving disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency at audit and appeals. I cannot be more thrilled to be working with Euclid Transactions and the amazing team and brining my experience to the table. I have been a frequent speaker on taxation issues at conferences for diverse audiences. I was involved with the Canadian Bar Association\'s Tax Law for Lawyers for 25 years. I served two terms on the Board of Governors of the Canadian Tax Foundation. From 2022 to 2023 I was the Chair and am the Past Chair (forever). I served on conference planning committees, Sherbaniuk awards committee, chaired a Strategic Planning Committee and when I moved to Vancouver initiated Women in Tax … an event that had been ongoing in Toronto for quite some time. I have loved every minute of it. In 2025 I received the Lifetime Contribution Award from the Canadian Tax Foundation. I served on the Ontario Bar Association’s Tax Section committee including as Chair. I am a former member of the Joint Committee of the CBA and CPA Canada. I served on CPA Canada\'s ITEC Committee. I have been an Adjunct Professor at Allard School of Law.In I received an Arbor Award from the University of Toronto in recognition of my voluntary service contributions. I served as a member of the London Regional Cancer Program Patient Assistance Program Stewardship Committee. I have served on the boards of the University of St Michaels College, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (Ontario chapter), the Canadian Mothercraft Society and the Ross Memorial Hospital. I was part of a committee that organized the celebration of the year in Bobcaygeon - to celebrate 3 zeros in a row.
