Director of Youth Services and Raleigh Pathways Center Manager @City of Raleigh

I have been involved with youth, community advocacy, and volunteer initiatives for more than twenty years. I currently serve as the Youth Services Director and Raleigh Pathways Center Manager. The Raleigh Pathways Center houses a portfolio of programs and services that help connect youth and young adults to workforce development training, employment opportunities, and other resources that provide clear pathways to career success. My primary role is overseeing the operation of the Raleigh Summer Youth Employment Program, coordinating Life Skills Development, “Bring Your A-Game to Work” job readiness and financial literacy training for youth. In addition, I manage Partnership Raleigh, a city-wide collaboration of youth service agencies, nonprofits and local businesses that provide career and employment opportunities for young professionals.I previously served as Inclusion Officer and Program Specialist in the NC Office of the Governor under Governor Mike Easley and Governor Bev Perdue. My priorities there included connecting youth and persons with disabilities to paid and volunteer positions across the state.
