Founder and Executive Director of Project Smile, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people in need through its two signature programs: Smiles for Children and Suits & Smiles. Smiles for Children helps children who are involved in traumatic situations. We donate stuffed animals, books and coloring books/crayons for police officers and fire fighters to give to children. We also partner with homeless shelters and the Dept. of Children and Families by donating stuffed animals, books and coloring books/crayons for children who are entering foster care or living in homeless shelters. Since 2003, Project Smile has donated to 200 police and fire departments. Suits & Smiles provides job interview and work attire for men in need. Our goal is to empower low income men to attain the jobs they need to improve their lives and become financially independent.This important service is offered to men of all ages and ethnic backgrounds, including recipients of public assistance, the disabled, recovering addicts, veterans, those recently released from prison and others who face barriers to acquiring a job and retaining it.Responsibilities include program development, organizational capacity building, fundraising, marketing, awareness campaigns, event planning, grant writing and volunteer recruitment.
