ABOUT CATHERINE OSBORNE

Editor, writer and communications strategist with in-depth knowledge and expertise in international architecture, design and the visual arts. Over 20 years working in media communications, including print and digital content development and creation, brand building, strategic marketing + communications planning, and project curation. I am a creative thinker and enthusiastic leader who brings people together. I develop nimble and motivated production teams and have made lasting connections with leading practitioners in the design and architecture sectors, in Canada and abroad.I have a strong interest and knowledge in developing, defining and articulating a creative vision, and in executing that vision through original and inspiring content.Excellent written and oral communication skills with a great sense for a good story. My writing has been published in Azure, Architectural Record, Artnews, Canadian Architect, Domus, Globe and Mail, Metropolis, and Wall Street Journal.A few notable successes and proud moments include:+ Co-lead on the redesign of Azure in 2017/18, which earned two National Magazine Award nods.+ A seven-year run as Co-founding Editor of the popular independent arts magazine Lola.+ I have written and interviewed some the most creative thinkers of our times, including Sir David Adjaye, furniture designer Konstanin Grcic, architect Bjarke Ingles, and Oki Sato, creative lead of Nendo.+ Appointed Design Ambassador for the 2019 DesignTO Festival.
