Catherine Argyrople is an independent film director, writer, and creative producer committed to empowering women through female-centered narratives and authentic storytelling. Her work primarily focuses on social-facing issues including mental health & disability, gender equity in sports, identity, and coming of age. Catherine is passionate about representation in front and behind the camera, uplifting inclusive teams of diverse female filmmakers and talent. Catherine is the founder of CATALYZE HER, a female-led production company of diverse narrative films. Catherine produces and directs social campaigns for clients like Disney, PayPal, Starbucks, and The NFL at Razorfish, a Publicis Groupe Agency, while continuing to build a slate of narrative films. At Razorfish, Catherine leads digital productions from concept to delivery, building audiences of millions and expanding brand reach across multiple platforms.Catherine’s debut feature film Growing Pains is now streaming exclusively on Tubi, chosen as just ten films to be apart of the Tubi x Kickstarter Film Stream Collective in 2025 and awarded a grant. Growing Pains was awarded the prestigious ReFrame Stamp by The Sundance Institute and Women in Film for gender-balanced hiring. Growing Pains was honored on the Diversity Spotlight at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival by Nielsen, Studio System, and RespectAbility, alongside filmmakers like Ava Duvernay and Denis Villeneuve. In 2026, Growing Pains will be represented by Hammad Zaidi at the Marché du Film in Cannes.A Magna Cum Laude graduate from Northeastern University, Catherine combines her expertise in social media strategy, filmmaking, and entrepreneurship to create both creative and commercial work. Whether she’s surfing, playing guitar, or exploring new destinations, Catherine draws inspiration from the world around her to fuel her work.
