WORK HISTORY
Managing Director, Engineering Excellence - Chief Technology Office @Citi
London, GB
I am leading a multi-year strategy to increase productivity through a culture of Engineering Excellence; creating an environment and engineer experience where it is easy and enjoyable to create great software. My team and I have built an innovative system to measure capabilities of teams and individuals based on industry standard DevOps Research and Analytics (DORA). This is used to provide actionable insights that engineers and engineering teams use to make decisions on where to focus their efforts in improving Delivery Lead Time, Deployment Frequency, Change Failure Rate and Time to Restore. These metrics are widely recognised as the key indicators of high performing software delivery organisations. We have also created an environment that values, rewards, recognises and develops talent, with an engineering career path from Graduate to Managing Director. This includes our flagship Engineering Excellence programs where engineers can progress as Advanced, Expert and Principal Engineers as they progress through the Technology organisation at Citi.
