Debt Capital Markets Counsel focusing on regulatory change, client facing knowhow, business development and training.I am responsible for horizon scanning, thought leadership, legal knowhow, client publications, internal and external training and monitoring regulatory developments in relation to debt capital markets. I also provide specialist advisory support to teams across the Linklaters global network working on debt capital markets transactions.I work closely with industry bodies and trade associations. I have been seconded to the ICMA Primary Markets, Market Practice and Regulatory Policy team on two occasions, working on advocacy, regulator interface (European and national ), managing committees in relation to regulatory and market practice initiatives including the Prospectus Regulation, MiFID II (product governance) and interest rate reform. I continue to work closely with ICMA supporting their Legal & Documentation Committee, advising on interest rate reform and as part of a number of specialist working groups including on ESG. Key areas of focus: Prospectus Regulation, Brexit, UK Public Offers and Admissions to Trading Regime, PRIIPs Regulation, Market Abuse Regulation, MiFID II product governance, EU Benchmark Regulation, interest rate reform, LIBOR, risk-free rates, SONIA, SOFR, €STR, Green Bonds, Sustainability-Linked Bonds, EU Green Bond Standard.I have significant transactional experience in-house at Director level in an investment bank.
