About Catherine Shea Sanger
Catherine (Kate) Sanger is Founder and Director of Intentional Higher Education, a consultancy offering research and analysis, faculty development, and student support services. She is an international educator, liberal arts enthusiast, and social scientist. Across roles she aspires to be a trusted conduit of information and ideas among students, faculty, and staff; to contribute fresh perspectives and principled problem-solving; and elevate intercultural learning and inclusion as priorities across the higher education landscape. She champions inclusivity, creativity, and excellence in global higher education. Dr. Sanger previously directed the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Yale-NUS College, a liberal-arts and sciences college established in partnership between Yale University and the National University of Singapore. She was co-editor and author of Diversity and Inclusion in Global Higher Education (Palgrave 2020) and a contributor to the Chronicle of Higher Ed, Times Higher Ed, Channel New Asia, and the American Political Science Association\'s Teaching Civic Engagement series. As Senior Lecturer in Global Affairs at Yale-NUS College and Instructor in Politics at the University of Virginia she taught introductory and advanced courses in interdisciplinary social sciences, international security and law, global governance, and the politics of technological-territorial discovery. Dr. Sanger holds a PhD in International Affairs from the University of Virginia and pursued undergraduate study at Wellesley College and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
