For over 50 years, the Excavation division has completed projects from small construction to large residential, commercial projects, including solar across NYS. Our main office is in Hamilton, NY, 3 of our 4 Rental stores are in Central New York & the Southern Tier, & the 4th is in NC. Our rental stores are engaged in daily & weekly rentals of heavy equipment & construction tools.I was presented with the exciting opportunity to join my husband\'s growing family business in October, 2023; my husband will be the 3rd generation owner. I am an HR Department of one while supporting the Business Manager for any additional needs in business operations. Responsibilities:•Benefit Administration - PFL, Worker\'s Compensation Claims, STD, Unemployment•Payroll - QuickBooks - hourly, salary, apprentices, prevailing wage•All items related to recruiting, onboarding, terminations, etc.•Creation & ownership of Apprentice Training Program •Creation & ownership of Rental Store Manager\'s Commission Program (tracking, calculations, payouts, etc.)•Ensure compliance with FMCSA Escreen Drug Testing (quarterly randoms)•Maintained & coordinated all trainings/certifications - MSHA, CPR/1st Aid, OSHA-10, DOT Physicals.•Injury Tracking & yearly OSHA 300a submission•Complete re-work of Employee Handbook, Safety Manual & Prevailing Wage on-site information binders•Ensure compliance with all federal, state & local laws•Point of contact for Rental Store managers for any tech/system support, customer or client account issues including large outstanding balances •Implemented systems to improve document sharing & coordination between main office & rental store locations•Succession Planning•Coordination of company office move to new location
