About Catherine Muth

Catherine Colan Muth has served as CEO of O. R. Colan Associates (ORC) since 1991. She is the majority owner of this family business. Her company manages the land acquisition and relocation phase of federally funded projects for airports, highways, redevelopment and transit projects nationwide. In 2010, she founded ORC Utility & Infrastructure Land Services, LLC to serve the growing needs of the utility sector nationwide. This company was in the Inc. fastest growing companies for 2019 and 2020. Muth was a member of the Right of Way and Utilities Scan Team to Europe, jointly sponsored by the Transportation Institute and the Federal Highway Administration. In 2006 she participated on a study for the Federal Highway Administration entitled “Future Needs of the Public Real Estate Sector. She was a founding member of TEC Chapter 2004 (now Vistage), an International Group of CEOs; a member of IRWA (International Right of Way Association); a member of the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of WTS; and a Florida Real Estate Broker. She is a 1969 graduate of West Virginia University with a B.S. Degree in English and Political Science with post graduate studies in computer science and accounting. In her story was featured in a book by A. Mikaelian called \"Women Who Mean Business\". In 2015 she challenged her Leadership Team to double the size of the company in what is called ORC’s 2020 Vision. We are pleased to see our new structure and new sales culture (the ORC Ambassador Program), as well as the addition of our utilities division, are proving to be successful in growing the company. The company is meeting its annual goals and expects to reach or exceed its 2020 Vision. In 2019 the company plans to add a division for flood mitigation and resiliency.
