ABOUT CATHERINE MILFORD

I am an experienced storyteller, content creator, writer and communications specialist. I write across a diverse range of platforms, including lifestyle, consumer and trade outlets, blog posts, edm, social media and corporate websites, using SEO and SEM to achieve best optimisation for each client.I work with clients, creating and curating content partnerships and creating compelling content for all manner of industries, across many platforms. I write about celebrities and tales of real life; I particularly specialise in the area of food and drink, music, wellbeing, travel and tourism and hospitality.I currently freelance for a range of titles and publications, both print and digital. I am editor of Dive Pacific, the media branch of the New Zealand Underwater Association, and On The Menu, Bidfood NZ’s quarterly in-house magazine.Past roles include editorship of multiple titles, including Motorhomes Caravans & Destinations, Toast magazine (Liquorland), World of Wine and Food magazine, Hardy\'s. Deputy Editor roles include Woman\'s Day, New Zealand Woman\'s Weekly and New Idea.I have Senior Account Manager experience, looking after clients including Foodstuffs, NZ Blood Service, HealthPost and Garden to Table. I am also a skilled proofreader and subeditor.In my spare time I am a freelance musician; I play viola for a number of orchestras including Nelson Symphony Orchestra, and freelance as a session musician. Musical highlights include Synthony in the Snow in Queenstown, Synthony Live in New Plymouth, Last Night of the Proms in Auckland and a celebration of John Williams\' 90th birthday.
