As the Economic Development/Government Affairs Administrator, I work to develop and find innovative ways to recruit, retain, expand, and promote business and economic opportunities in Idaho Falls. In addition, partner with the Public Works and Community Development Services Departments to streamline development processes. Tasked with meeting the needs of the private sector and seeks to make Idaho Falls attractive for development. Interfaces with economic development influencers throughout the state and region to encourage new businesses to locate within the city. Serves as the liaison between the city and government entities at the state and federal level. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to influence good policies and regulations serving as primary liaison between municipal government and federal entities. Extensive knowledge of: federal regulatory frameworks, policy analysis and development, government stakeholder relationship management, strategic advocacy communications, federal grant processes, and translating complex policy initiatives into actionable strategies that deliver measurable results.
