ABOUT CATHERINE HURCOMB
Through my undergraduate major in American Sign Language and English Interpreting, I was able to develop a rich understanding of intercultural communication not only within the Deaf/DeafDisabled community, but also through the diverse workforce of the greater Boston area. My professional experience in this field took me to a host of different organizations, though I became increasingly curious about the bigger picture and internal workings of these organizations and their communication tactics. This led me to pursue a Master\'s degree in Corporate and Organizational Communication, where I\'m currently exploring public relations and crisis communication. With a background in nonverbal communication, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability in dynamic environments, I bring a unique perspective to organizational strategy and messaging. I’m excited to continue growing in this field and seeing where this journey takes me!
