About Catherine Hill Gibbons
Originally from South Africa, having spent several years in London and now based in Boston, USA I am responsible for managing the Commercial Strategy Deal Structuring (CSDS) team to structure partnerships across LSEG Data and Analytics (D&A) businesses as well as ensuring alignment of all products and partner engagements including approval of any non-standard deals with clients and partners through management of the Partner and Redistribution Deal Forum (PRDF) approval and escalation procedures. I also support and oversee incoming partnership licensing opportunities, with particular focus on some of the more complex partnership models, i.e. Re-Sell and Co-Sell partnership and collaborate closely with Sales and Account Management (SAM), Partnerships Team counterparts, and Commercial Strategy colleagues to dynamically analyze partnership opportunities.Before moving to the Commercial Strategy team, I was an Assistant General Counsel in the EMEA D&A Legal Department at LSEG where I provided all manner of legal support to the including customer and supplier contract negotiations, contract interpretation and dispute management/resolution. I was the lead lawyer supporting several strategic key client relationships within D&A and have worked on significant deals with some of our largest banking clients. Before joining the London D&A legal team, I was the Legal Counsel in Africa where I oversaw all the legal affairs and compliance efforts across the region and provided legal support in the region. Prior to joining LSEG on 1 March 2014, I was an associate (admitted attorney) at Norton Rose Fulbright attorneys in the Johannesburg general and insurance dispute resolution team. I joined the Norton Rose Fulbright Johannesburg practice in January 2010 having graduated in law from the University of Pretoria. I obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree (with specialization in law) from the same university during 2008.
