I manage the Corporate Strategy Team at SAS, overseeing critical areas such as corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, finance support, corporate services support, risk management, and business continuity. In this role, I provide global legal support for all SAS entities, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.In addition to leading the Corporate Strategy Team, I serve as the legal lead in SAS\' Office of Public Readiness and Corporate Planning. I help coordinate and execute the legal effort associated with preparing SAS for an IPO. This cross-divisional, global role is instrumental in positioning the world\'s largest privately held software company as a ready-for-IPO market leader in analytics and AI.Prior to focusing on IPO readiness and leading our Corporate Strategy Team, I supported SAS’ entities in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. I collaborated with local SAS attorneys, finance teams, and outside counsel to address a range of legal issues in these regions. I also partnered with SAS Finance and Tax teams on various matters, including transfer pricing, revenue recognition, intercompany services, and the global finance model for all SAS entities.With a strong background as a transactional and technology attorney—both in-house and in private practice—I have extensive experience in complex, strategic intellectual property transactions, including collaboration agreements, joint development agreements, licensing agreements, and IT and business process outsourcing agreements.
