I develop and deliver communications strategies for a national public body which regulates over social workers in England and is leading reform in the social work sector. We\'re arms-length from Government and I am trained by and work to the standards of the Government Communication Service.I joined Social Work England at its creation, working within a new comms team of 3 to develop the brand from scratch with renowned designer Wayne Hemingway MBE. As a team we worked with internal and external audiences to develop and launch a range of communication channels for the new organisation. My key responsibilities now include- Leading on all trade, regional and national media relations, both proactive and reactive. This includes handling crisis management and advising leadership on serious reputational issues- Managing communications for strategic projects across different parts of the organisation, working with a range of internal and external audiences. I was part of a small delivery team on a national campaign to tackle negative perceptions of social work in society, which reached an audience of over 17 million people- Leading our stakeholder management approach, mapping 800 organisations and overseeing the implementation and ongoing development of a bespoke stakeholder management system to enable us to effectively manage key relationships- Identifying and managing opportunities for the organisation to manage its reputation with key external stakeholders.
