ABOUT CATHERINE COULTER

I am a Counsel at Dentons Canada and the Leader for the Employment and Labour group in Ottawa, positioning our team as one of the most highly regarded in the nation\'s capital. With more than three decades of experience in employment law and litigation, I guide clients through the entire spectrum of employment relationships, from start to end. I handle day-to-day human resource challenges and resolve employment disputes, drawing on my litigation expertise and practical know-how to proactively anticipate, address and resolve issues before they occur. My areas of expertise include workplace disability and accommodations, executive arrangements and compensation, and employment issues in business transactions and reorganizations. I am a speaker at a variety of events and programs, and have played an important role in spearheading many of Dentons’ Employment and Labour group’s publications and webinars. I am proud to be recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. I have also been named as a finalist for the Women in Business Law Awards (Americas) 2022 in the employment lawyer category. Beyond my legal practice, I am dedicated to modeling a workplace that gives back. I am the former Ottawa office Pro-Bono Committee Lead and current Ottawa Belonging Network (ID & E) Lead. My pro-bono work in 20••••21 for UN Women resulted in Dentons’ recognition for Pro Bono Initiative of the Year at the 2021 Canada Law Awards.
