Experience
Community Planner, (Emergency Management Specialist)
Mar 2022 — Present
My work with the Community Building, Capacity Building sector (also known as Community Assistance) has been remarkably varied in order to best meet the ever changing scope of post-disaster recovery. Some highlights include the support for our implementation of our pilot Just in Time training, including the creation of internal documents and a public facing webpage. In order to provide a more comprehensive view of recovery, I have invited stakeholders outside of the federal government (such as academia and private sector) to offer innovative guidance and perspectives to our field community planners, and I have assisted with the development and publication of Community Recovery Management Toolkit, a database designed for state, local, tribal, and territorial government representatives to quickly gauge the most effective, accessible tools and lessons learned from previous disasters.
