ABOUT CATHERINE C.
I am a rising fourth-year political science and history student at UCLA on the pre-law track, with academic and professional interests rooted in civil rights and international law. My multidisciplinary experiences, spanning experience in the Irish Parliament to policy analysis on Capitol Hill, have cultivated a deep appreciation for the role of legal systems in advancing justice, equity, and human rights across borders. With rigorous coursework in political theory, international relations, and constitutional law, I bring both analytical depth and practical fluency to my work. I have authored numerous policy briefs, supported successful electoral campaigns, and contributed to advocacy strategies on issues ranging from reproductive justice to health and educational equity. Beyond institutional settings, I founded ENOUGH. Magazine, a digital platform dedicated to preventing the subsequent surge in eating disorders among Gen Z, and led international fundraising initiatives. These efforts reflect a broader commitment to structural change and a belief in law as a catalyst for dignity and inclusion. My long-term goal is to pursue a JD and engage in work that sits at the intersection of law, global policy, and human rights, using legal tools not only to interpret the world but to help transform it.
