About Cathe Franklin

I began my banking career as a teller at Crocker Bank in Santa Cruz, Ca and worked my way up to assistant branch manager. When Wells Fargo acquired Crocker Bank in 1986, I left Crocker Bank and moved into accounting/finance at a small, independent bank. This move gave me the opportunity to experience a broad range of functions, including: in-house computer processing and operations, multiple migrations/conversions of investment portfolios, international banking and core banking platforms, budgeting and planning, interest rate risk, internal and regulatory reporting, deposit and wire operations. When Bridge Bank opened in 2001, I had the good fortune to be offered a key role in the design and development of the finance department. As Controller, I managed a group of 15 very competent and productive employees who handled accounts payable, fixed assets, wire transfer operations, payroll, ACH daily operations, General Ledger application and interface, internal financial reporting, external regulatory reporting (OCC and Federal Reserve Bank) and the budgeting process. I am a six sigma green belt and have completed a six sigma project for Bridge Bank. Following the Bridge Bank merger with Western Alliance Bank in March, 2015, I joined Avidbank, located in San Jose, California as Senior Vice President/Controller. At Avidbank I am developing processes and procedures, automating accounting tasks and building a finance infra-structure that is scalable and positioned to support the growth and development of the bank.
