ABOUT CATHARINA DAMRELL

I am an experienced program manager, focusing on the connections between people’s well-being, our planet, and climate change. Having grown up on a small island in Maine, in a bi-lingual family, I value the importance of community, social justice, global development, and a good lobster roll. I have dove into the realm of climatetech at the Masschusetts Clean Energy Center, and am inspired each day by all the fascinating science and optimism behind designing critical technology to improve our planet\'s health and creating well-paid jobs for all. Most recently, I graduated from the Yale School of Environment studying the health impacts of climate change on coastal communities, designing climate adaptation action plans, and using cognitive psychology to create effective climate change communication + behavior change. My prior work has been in transforming the food retail sector through sustainability metrics. I am also experienced in nonprofit organizations, business sustainability consulting, climate change impact reporting, international education, sustainable development, communications, social marketing behavior change, scientific field work, and environmental awareness. By helping people tap into their strengths and wisdom, while leveraging data and science, we can make stronger communities and our planet healthier and equitable.
